Welcome to the Edina Volleyball Association
Welcome to the 2009-2010 volleyball season in Edina. The Edina Volleyball Association (EVBA) serves girls volleyball teams for grades 5-11. The EVBA is the equivalent of a traveling sports team, where competition is more intense.
Volleyball season runs from December through March. Practices begin the first week of December.
Here's what's new for the 2009-2010 season:
EVBA Director: We have created a new position of EVBA Director to work toward increasing the competitiveness of our program, while remaining committed to maximum participation consistent with a community program. Our new director will help coordinate and enhance skills development from grade to grade, recruit coaches, manage tryouts and tournament scheduling, and related duties. We are happy to announce that Emily Buehler, the Edina High School Volleyball Head Coach, among our top coaches from the prior season, has accepted the position.
EVBA Assistant Director. Julie Mickschl has accepted the position of EVBA Assistant Director. Julie is a Special Education Instructor at Highlands School. Julie has coached for EVBA for several years, and consistently receives high feedback scores from parents and athletes.
Expanded Teams: This year, if there are enough participants, we will be adding an additional 12s and Under team, and an additional 16s and Older team.
Easier Registration: Registration is now available online, with the ability to pay fees online.
