Emily Buehler graduated from Zumbrota-Mazeppa High School in Zumbrota, Minnesota, having played four years of varsity volleyball and basketball and two years of varsity track. She attended the University of Saint Thomas in Saint Paul, Minnesota where she earned a bachelor's degree in Justice and Peace Studies, and was a dual-sport athlete, playing both volleyball and basketball.
While at Saint Thomas, Emily was named captain for both the volleyball and basketball teams, and won all-conference and academic all-district honors in volleyball her senior year. Emily served as an assistant coach for the University of Saint Thomas Volleyball Program in 2005 and 2006, coached for various volleyball camps and youth clubs, and has coached kids ages two through twenty two in various sports for over eight years.
Emily is currently serving as the Edina High School Head Volleyball Coach (second year) and coached the 14's White team for the Edina Volleyball Association last season (2008-2009).
Emily is currently working on her master's degree in International Relations.
