What to expect
All COVID guidelines will be strictly enforced. Specific details will be emailed out prior to the tryout; they include mask wearing, social distancing and sanitizing.
Check in - turn in down payment check, look at apparel, sized for jersey, receive a tryout number.
Go to assigned court and warm up.
EVBA coaches start evaluation. Each player will be evaluated by several coaches. Players will run through a variety of skill drills and work up to playing/game like drills.
Coaches are looking for skill level, movement on the court, aggressiveness, communication, and teamwork.
Our goal is to find a spot for all players at EVBA, but there is a possibility we will have to make cuts at the higher grades (7th and up), if we don't have enough players to form additional teams, coaches and/or gym space.
Expected Season Commitment
We expect that players and parents make a commitment to EVBA and join the club with the intention of attending most practices and tournaments. We want to encourage players to participate in a variety of activities and understand that missing EVBA for another important event can happen occasionally, but we ask that players make EVBA a priority often.
